Neo-Dada
Neo-Dada is a label applied primarily to the visual arts describing artwork that has similarities in method or intent to earlier Dada artwork. Neo-Dada is exemplified by its use of modern materials, popular imagery, and absurdist contrast. It also patently denies traditional concepts of aesthetics.

Irony

Pastiche

Decoupage
Decoupage is a type of collage usually defined as a craft. It is the process of placing a picture onto an object for decoration. Often decoupage causes the picture to appear to have depth and looks as though it had been painted on the object.
The process is to glue (or otherwise affix) a picture to an object, then adding more copies of the picture on top, progressively cutting out more and more of the background, giving the illusion of depth in the picture. The picture is often coated with varnish or some other sealant for protection.

Eclecticism in art
Eclecticism is a kind of mixed style in the fine arts, in which features are borrowed from various sources and styles. Significantly, Eclecticism hardly ever constituted a specific style in art: it is characterized by the fact that it was not a particular style. In general, the term describes the combination in a single work of a variety of influences — mainly of elements from different historical styles in architecture, painting, and the graphic and decorative arts.

Modernism

Recursionism
Recursionism in art is the use of repeating patterns in modern art (as in the works of M.C. Escher and Salvador Dalí), as also self-similarity in rock art in the old world and on American Indian pottery. Moral relativism

The philosophical concept of causality or causation refers to the set of all particular "causal" or "cause-and-effect" relations. Compatibilism
Compatibilism, also known as "soft determinism" and most famously championed by Hume, is a theory which holds that free will and determinism are compatible. According to Hume, free will should not be understood as an absolute ability to have chosen differently under exactly the same inner and outer circumstances. Rather, it is a hypothetical ability to have chosen differently if one had been differently psychologically disposed by some different beliefs or desires. Hume also maintains that free acts are not uncaused (or mysteriously self-caused as Kant would have it) but caused by our choices as determined by our beliefs, desires, and by our characters. While a decision making process exists in Hume's determinism, this process is governed by a causal chain of events. For example, a person may make the decision to support Wikipedia, but that decision is determined by the conditions that existed prior to the decision being made.

Conceptual art
In conceptual art the idea or concept is the most important aspect of the work. When an artist uses a conceptual form of art, it means that all of the planning and decisions are made beforehand and the execution is a perfunctory affair. The idea becomes a machine that makes the art.

Minimalism in visual art
A minimalist painting, for example, will typically use a limited number of colors, and have a simple geometric design. Minimalist sculpture on the other hand is greatly focused on the materials (see David Smith and Donald Judd). While many believe minimalism to be a movement specific to geometric representations, it extends far outside this constraint.

O Show aqui em POA estava muiiiito bom! Mudhoney arrebentou! É grunge cristalizado! Eu, como adorador do Nirvana, pensei uma hora: 'Putz, Nirvana é um Mudhoney em um dia muito ruim, com o Kurt agonizando deprimido tentando fazer aqueles vocais. Em 'Touch me, Im sick' fui a loucura ;-)
O Pearl Jam, bem... 2h30 de som do caralho! Ainda estou escutando uma sirene na minha cabeça. A impressão é que os caras tocaram todas as músicas ;-) Teve Marky Ramone na bateria em 'I Believe in Miracles'. Também teve parabéns pra você para o Matt Cameron, com direito a bolo e tudo mais. Uma das saideras foi Baba O'Rilley, do The Who. Resumindo: Afudê!

Sem assunto
Porra. Tô sem assunto nenhum pra fotografar. Tô seco pra usar a Holga de novo, botei adaptador pra usar fisheye, filtros e o caralho, mas falta assunto... Não consigo ver nada decente. Quem sabe no feriadão de 15 de novembro lá no Cassino... Vou levar o que der de máquina e filme. Aliás, preciso de cromo. Vou ver se compro alguma coisa... O ideal seria CT Precisa ou EPP. Mas achar um desses com preço bom é difícil...

Show do Kleiton e Kledir
Pois é, fui no show dos caras. Uma tal gravação do primeiro DVD. Não conheço muito dos caras. Tem uma coletânea deles em casa. A única que conhecia e gostava era 'Estrela, Estrela' (que na verdade é do Vitor Ramil). Mas sabe que o troço é bom? Os caras são simpáticos e tem uma músicas bacanas. Claro que não deixo de ouvir Pumpkings pra ouvir eles, mas não faz mal não.

Acústico Bandas Gaúchas
Bah, tava muito bom! Foi dia 28/07/2005 no salão de Atos da UFRGS.
Wander Wilder abriu o show. Muito gabarito. Vestido como no original (paletó brega). O cara tocou umas músicas que não fizeram parte do show da MTV. O cara é foda mesmo.
Depois foi a Bidê ou Balde, que começaram meio tensos, mas logo deslancharam. Com a polêmica da música 'E por que não?' (acusada de apologia a pedofilia), os caras só tocaram e a galera cantou. Tri massa.
Depois foi a vez da Cachorro Grande. Que porrada! Muiiito bom mesmo. Tá rolando um hype sobre os caras, mas de qualquer forma, os caras também são foda. Se não fosse a história do Wander, seria a melhor banda da noite.
Ultraman fechou a noite. Eu não dava nada pela banda, embora gostasse de alguns hits. Mas tenho de admitir, os caras mandam muito bem. O show ao vivo é realmente contagiante. Os caras tocaram 'Amigo Punk', da Graforréia Xilarmônica e encerraram com 'Peleia', numa jam com todas as outras bandas.
Totalmente recomendado.

Câmera digital
Pela primeira vez na vida achei uma câmera digital legal. Um colega de trabalho trouxe uma Canon EOS D30, uma SLR digital. Ela aceita lentes das EOS 'analógicas' também. Muito interessante. Como sou adepto das Pentax, fui dar uma olhada no que existia nesse mundo, e achei a Pentax *ist DS, que aceita lentes com montagens K, KA, KAF e KFA2, como toda boa Pentax ;-). Genial. Mas ainda tenho muiiiito a aprender com a minha antes de ir atrás de uma dessas.

Experiências
Botei um dos Fortepan (filme p&b) que o Pedrozo me conseguiu na Fisheye. Vou experimentar pela primeira vez um desse tipo. Além disso, vou tentar minha primeira dupla exposição, já na Fisheye usando o Fortepan. Parece loucura.... Vamos ver no que dá.

Muitos filmes esse findi
Esse final de semana me rendeu muitos filmes. Finalmente ví Star Wars, Cruzada e Hero (além dos dois primeiros episódios de Lost). Falo mais depois.

Muita Sugeira
Dois discos fenomenais que adoro compartilham de várias similaridades. O nome, é praticamente o mesmo: Dirt e Dirty (com pequena variação na semântica). O ano de lançamento é o mesmo: 1992. O grande impacto que causa ao se ouvir também é o mesmo, embora de maneira diversa.
Dirt, do Alice in Chains é fantasticamente perturbador. Uma tristeza sem fim. A faixa título que o diga, é puro desprezo. Desse disco sairam algumas das melhores canções da banca, como Would?, Down In A Hole, Junkhead e, claro, Dirt.
Por outro lado, Dirty é foda. Um dos primeiros discos do Sonic Youth que ouvi e tive (embora tenham me roubado). É igualmente contagiante. Não é a toa que Kurt Cobain idolatrava os caras. Basta ouvir esse disco pra saber como o Nirvana tem claras influências da banda. Sugar Kane, 100%, Drunken Butterfly, Wish Fulfillment, Youth Against Facism estão entre as minhas prediletas. Recentemente me caiu a ficha em baixar esse disco. Achei a edição deluxe por torrent. Ô tristeza, só 20 músicas a mais.
Fica registrada a dica.

Não rolou pré-estréia. Quando fiquei sabendo que tinha ingresso já não existia mais, além disso, os ingressos estavam à venda desdo o dia 11! O jeito vai ser encarar uma outra sessão...

HD novo
Meu HD tá ameaçando se entregar de vez. Tive que morrer um HD novo hoje. Que droga! Se eu tivesse o dinheiro do HD sobrando, preferiria comprar um gravador de DVD... mas não dá, né?
E não podia arriscar a perder todos meus dados (meu TI!).
Já tava adiando essa situação há pelo menos 12 meses...

Fisheye shots
Peguei hoje uns prints do segundo rolo que fiz com minha Fisheye camera: uma bosta! Era uma Sensia 400 'pushado' pra 1600. Ficou muito ruim mesmo. Pra completar, a porra do lab fez um monte de 'correções' nas fotos (dá pra ver pelos números atrás delas). Próximo rolo que eu for revelar, vou levar na Citylab, onde fiz uns prints que gostei. Vou aproveitar e fazer cópias de algumas dessas de hoje pra comparar...
O primeiro rolo que tinha feito foi com Pro-image 200, também não ficou bom, ficou escuto e tal... ô câmerazinha difícil. O jeito é tentar de novo. Acho que vou experimentar um Fortepan, que o Pedrozo me conseguiu...

Apresentação na FTEC
Ontem eu fiz uma apresentação sobre qualidade de software na FTEC, de Caxias do Sul. Foi bem bacana. O pessoal era bem interessado. Foi das 19h30 às 22h30! Nunca tinha ficado com a garganta tão seca. Espero que dê algum fruto...

Cruzada
To tri afim de ver Cruzada. Parece ser bem bacana, com realismo nas batalhas. Porque Rei Arthur é uma bosta! Batalhas chinelas, meia dúzia de soldados e tal. Só lorota! Ainda assiti a porra da versão do diretor! Quanta perda de tempo (e dinheiro)!

Vai rolar um filme baseado na história do Kurt Cobain. Meio que uma releitura poética, se é que existe isso. Parece ser muito bom. A música tema, inclusive, pare ser Nirvana! Parece que o próprio Kurt tá tocando, gemendo e morrendo. Tirando a parte travestida desse novo Kurt (que deve ser alguma metáfora, imagino), o troço é FODA. Ví o trailer em http://www.mk2.com/last_days/. O site e as legendas estão em francês, mas o audio acho que tá em inglês. Dá pra se virar...
